Security firm expands protection services by Laura Lehman
A security firm is expanding its services by also providing uniformed guards, should clients want them.
The Security and Protection Agency Ltd is based in South Bar, Banbury, Oxfordshire, and offers a range of security services.
Managing Director Tim Butt said: “We have been in operation for nearly three years, mainly concentrating on executive and VIP security in London and local asset protection tasks in the Banbury area. We have decided to branch out in this direction to bring our services into the public area and be more prominent in the industry. This will be good for the clients we provide the service to and for the business stable. Our aim is to provide an elite professional service to all our clients.” The guards are predominantly ex-military and are hand picked for their experience.
The firm also offers an investigation and surveillance service to both business and private clients. It is able to investigate fraud, staff absenteeism, matrimonial and infidelity issues, benefit claims, insurance fraud, environmental crime, anti-social bahaviour and a range of other issues. The company can provide confidential covert investigation and undercover officers, many of which are ex- Special Branch and are highly experienced in undercover operations.
Mr Butt said: “We use covert surveillance methods with still and video cameras and other technical methods. We then provide clients with photographic and video evidence and a full written report which can be used in any proceedings.”
Mr Butt joined the British Army in 1986 and was stationed at a sensitive military establishment where he often performed security duties. Five years later he became a police officer with Thames Valley Police and in 1996 he joined the Protection Group Firearms Team, protecting senior politicians and members of the Royal family.
